Humana Vision

You may not be able to enroll in individual or family health insurance plans, but Humana vision plans are still available in most states, with the exception of Oregon, Washington, Montana, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Hawaii, and District of Columbia.

Humana does offer reasonably priced vision plans with low out-of-pocket costs. If you enroll with Humana, and annual vision exam will be included, and you will also receive money for standard contact lenses or eyeglass lenses. However, there is a small copay that goes along with the glasses and lenses.

If you have any special needs, Humana vision is a great option for you. There are options for progressive bifocals, discounts on corrective surgeries, and even plans that give you money for new frames every 1-2 years.

Humana Dental

Along with vision, you can also enroll in Humana dental. Keep in mind, if you are looking to save even more money, you can pair Humana Vision and Humana dental for possible discounts. You can enroll in PPO or HMO dental plans, and with some Humana dental plans, you may have $0 in out-of-pocket costs, and the ability to choose your own dentist. Humana dental plans are highly recommended.

Humana Military

Humana has a long-standing partnership with the US military. Humana military currently manages the Tricare South program. So if you are a veteran of the armed forces, you may have already had some experience with Humana.

Starting on January 1, 2018, Humana military will be taking over Tricare East after the current Tricare program condenses into two regions.
